GROUP CIRCULATION MANAGER

Steve joined the newstrade industry in 1985, working in a variety of roles before joining Marketforce in 2003 as Group Circulation Manager. One of Steve's key roles on appointment to this position was to oversee the introduction of Hachette Partworks into IPG's already wide-ranging portfolio. As Group Circulation manager, it is essential for Steve to maintain excellent working relationships with associates both internal and external, to guarantee support for his publisher clients throughout the supply chain. Steve's role in helping bring in Hachette Partworks provides an example of his strong industry relationships, which only add to his expertise in the Client Services field.
 

Steve is responsible for a team that manages a diverse portfolio of publishing accounts including Hachette-Filipacchi, RBI and Panini. The team liaise with publishing clients with a view to develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of their title strategies, ensuring publisher objectives and aspirations are explicitly communicated throughout the business and supply chain.
 

Consequently, the entire business understands our clients’ title vision, enabling a coherent and cohesive approach to the circulation and promotion of their titles. This clear understanding of publisher needs allows Steve and his team to identify where value can be added to the current title strategies. Therefore enabling our publisher clients and our Client Services team to work together to grow efficient sales and produce excellent results.
 

Steve and his team are also responsible for fundamental aspects of the circulation role. This includes detailed analysis of title performance ensuring allocation of copy is fulfilling requirements of retail availability, promotional schemes, unsolds, sales efficiencies and maximising of profit. Steve's team also take responsibility for the range review process of their portfolio titles, with the intention to protect key listings with the utmost vigour and to find innovative approaches to continually evolve ranges and listings.
