
Mike has eighteen years of experience within the newstrade industry and spent
six years in wholesale at WH Smith News prior to joining Marketforce in 1997. Mike was appointed International
Commercial Manager in 2003. One of his main responsibilities within this role involves bringing new processes to the department and improving upon current formats. By maintaining focus on the operational aspects of the business, Mike enables his department to improve the approach they take when monitoring and analysing international sales performance from over eighty countries. Consequently, this comprehensive analysis allows his team to improve sales performance and efficiencies, and facilitates the identification of opportunity for growth in new areas of the international market.
An example of Mike's operational achievements would be the recent implementation of electronic trading with our international trading partners. The system he has created is now viewed as the premium international website in the industry. Not only does this website allow our international trading partners to make changes to orders, price changes and submit unsold claims. The website is also an excellent marketing tool, adding to our total Marketforce marketing mix.
