DUNCAN MCINTOSH

Deputy International Business Development Manager

Duncan joined Marketforce in September 2006 having gained a place on the Graduate Development Programme, and spent his first twelve months on a series of comprehensive departmental placements across the business.

Following his successful completion of the scheme, Duncan moved into the IPC Circulation team taking on responsibility for the UK circulation of a number of IPC Inspire's key sport and leisure brands. Working across weekly, monthly and annual frequency titles allowed Duncan to develop a broad knowledge of the circulation role through the management of trade marketing budgets, monitoring market trends, forecasting sales and managing the ABC auditing process for the IPC Inspire portfolio.

In May 2010 Duncan moved into the International Circulation team taking on the responsibility for the US market as well as direct responsibility for a number of our in-house and third party publishing clients. Transferring those skills and experiences gained from his time in UK circulation, Duncan now manages our day-to-day relationship with Time Warner Retail Sales and Marketing in the USA and is working to maximise the sales potential for the Marketforce portfolio in what is one of the largest and most complex territories with which we deal.

'Having had the opportunity to work across the major departments of Marketforce, the International team is certainly one of the most exciting areas of the business to be involved in, particularly as we continue to grow our publisher base. It's fair to say that the diverse nature of the International territories means that no two days are the same! The International market is quickly becoming more and more important to our publishers and as such the requirement for us to be the best in our field is paramount. We have an excellent mix of talented and experienced individuals in the team and we're well placed and highly respected within the International marketplace.'
