TREVOR HUDSON

WHOLESALE CHANNEL MANAGER

Trevor joined Marketforce in 1990 from a background in newstrade wholesale and was appointed to his current role of Wholesale Channel Manager for Smiths News in 2004. In this role Trevor takes account responsibility for Smiths News, where he acts as an interface between Marketforce and one of our main wholesale partners.
 

As a member of the Wholesale Sales Development Team, Trevor ensures we are managing the work priorities and developing sales in conunction with our wholesale partners. The team's focus is to maximise and drive sales, through utilising all opportunities to reach the marketplace in the appropriate areas.
 

"Our first priority is sales and finding the most effective ways of delivering our sales objectives in line with our unique Marketforce Title Plans, which provide our wholesale channels with the necessary guidance to action our publisher's title strategies".
 

Trevor also works alongside the Wholesale Sales Service and Support Team, to help implement and maintain best practice and industry standards. Ultimately this involves operational compliance and focusing on maintaining and increasing the quality of our wholesale service. This is within areas such as ensuring vital on-sale dates are met, retailer ranges and compliance to promotional schemes.
 

Trevor comments: "I act almost as a translator negotiating when necessary and challenging where appropriate, but also building and maintaining relationships to ensure my channel within the supply chain runs effectively. This involves driving wholesale service and performance by utilising Marketforce's comprehensive Key Performance Indicators, which provide data that allows us to consistently measure, monitor and review wholesale performance".
